The Individualized Funding Resource Centre (IFRC) Society was developed to help people succeed on the Choices in Support for Independent Living (CSIL) Program and other individualized funding programs in British Columbia. Paul Gauthier, founder of the CSIL program now has a place to share his knowledge, and experience. The IFRC is committed to providing supports that will allow individuals to fully participate in their communities.
The Individualized Funding Resource Centre understands that managing individualized funding can be overwhelming and challenging for many people with disabilities. Too often, individuals accept the alternative, because of a lack of information or support. We can provide that information and support to ensure success and independence!
To empower people with disabilities who access Individualized funding, by providing them with knowledge and resources to support them in fully utilizing the benefits of the respective program, whereby achieving their objectives of autonomy and independence.

Pathways To Independence Peer Group is an exciting peer discussion group to meet regularly to discuss topics of concern and interest brought forward by group members, as well as explore common interests and ways to support one another. The Policy 4.C.4, Payment to Family Members applies to clients who have been approved to receive home support services through the Choice in Supports for Independent Living (CSIL) program (Policy 4.C), or for admission to a family care home (Policy 5.D). The intent of Policy 4.C.4, Payment to Family Members is to allow family members, including immediate family members (a parent, child or spouse) who meet the exception criteria, to be paid as caregivers.“

EcoWisdom has partnered with the Individualized Funding Resource Centre (IFRC) Society and Technology For Living (TFL) to present this Wellness Program in a three part series of workshops created to foster wellness, resiliency and community building. All three workshops will be held online and are graciously funded by TD Parks People Grants.
On April 13, 2021, the Ministry of Health sent a letter to all Health Authorities notifying them that “Given the ongoing pandemic and the challenges that CSIL clients continue to experience in maintaining continuity of care and safety, the Ministry is extending these temporary policy amendments until the emergency order is lifted, at which time HAs shall provide clients with a ninety-day transition notice."
